            FTE     Staff full-time equivalent (FTE) is the total calculation of annual full-time academic staff on
                    the payroll of the Department of Planning, and includes six types of position: 1 – professor, 2 –
                    associate professor, 3 – assistant professor, 4 – postdoc, 5 – PhD, and 6 – other research staff,
                    including research assistants .

                    Student full-time equivalent (FTE) is used for measuring activity on full-time programmes .
                    One student FTE is defined as study activity corresponding to the workload of one academic
                    year, and is equivalent to 60 ECTS points . Students who pass no exams and therefore earn no
                    ECTS points (for instance due to inactivity) produce no FTEs .

            PURE    Publication and Research .
                    The research management system by Elsevier which is used by Aalborg University . The
                    system links up with Scopus and SciVal for bibliometric analysis .
